Bank Robbery of New Mexico Bank and Trust
Lobo Hat Bank Robber
The New Mexico Bank
and Trust located at 3002 Louisiana was robbed this morning around 9:30
a.m. Albuquerque Police and Special Agents of the FBI responded to the
robbery.
The bank robber presented
a note to the teller demanding money, and stated in the note that he had
a gun. No actual firearm was observed by witnesses. The robber fled on
foot with an undisclosed sum of money.
The suspect, an Hispanic
male of dark complexion, mid 20s of slender build with no visible tattoos,
was wearing dark colored shirt and dark colored pants, and a dark hat
bearing the word "Lobo." No getaway car was observed by any
witnesses.
The investigation
is continuing. This is a joint investigation by the FBI and the Albuquerque
Police Department.
