News Release February 5, 2008 |
At approximately 10:00 AM this morning a lone gunman robbed the Bank of Albuquerque (Carmel & Wyoming location). The subject fired two shots while inside the bank, no one was injured.
The subject is described as:
Sex: Male Race: Asian, possibly Vietnamese Age: Approximately 25-35 years old Hair: Dark Brown or Black Height: 5’5” – 5’6” Build: Thin, approximately 140 Lbs. Eyes: Dark Brown or Black
The subject was seen using a metal crutch during the robbery. Witnesses told authorities that the subject appeared to physically need the crutch, as opposed to its use as a prop or disguise. The subject was wearing a black coat and balaclava style ski mask and was seen fleeing the scene in a silver mini-van.
Authorities believe that this subject may have attempted robbing the Bank of America (2601 Coors, location) earlier this morning. A subject fitting the aforementioned description was seen prior to opening at the Bank of America this morning.
Up to $1,000 in reward money is available for any information that directly leads to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Albuquerque Police Crimestoppers at 843-STOP.
