News Release
March 21, 2007

Thomas C. McClenaghan, Special Agent in Charge of the Albuquerque Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that Gregor Dugald Gordon, age 40, of Santa Fe, New Mexico was arrested on a federal warrant charging him with violation of Title 18, United States Code Section(s) 875(c) and 876(c) in connection with his transmittal of an interstate communication threatening to injure Santa Fe resident Gerald Peters.

SAC McClenaghan disclosed that the FBI had been searching for Gordon for sometime and had been able to discern that he had crisscrossed seven states in his attempts to evade law enforcement. SAC McClenaghan added that as a result of a tip received by Special Agents assigned to Santa Fe Resident Agency on 3/19/07, they were able to discern that Gordon was currently residing at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Benson, Arizona. A telephone call from the Santa Fe Resident Agency to the Benson Police Department with the information of Gordon’s current location quickly put Arizona law enforcement officials on alert that a federal fugitive was in their area and Gordon was subsequently arrested by the Benson Police Department and officers from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

On 3/19/07, Gordon was taken before a United States Magistrate in Tucson, Arizona for his Initial Appearance. Following his Initial Appearance proceedings, Gordon was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal.

The above information pertains to allegations only. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Copies of Arrest Warrant, Criminal Complaint, and Affidavit attached.
