News Release
July 10, 2007

The Albuquerque Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is requesting the public's assistance in attempting to determine the identity of the individual that robbed the Land of Enchantment Federal Credit Union, located at 1101 Don Diego Avenue, Santa Fe, New Mexico at approximately 9:10 a.m. on 6/25/07.

The robbery, according to witnesses, was committed by an individual who they described as a white male, approximately early 20's, 6 foot tall, wearing a green shirt with a black long sleeve undershirt, black or dark grey pants, black baseball cap with unknown yellow logo, black Sketcher shoes with a red "S" logo on the side. The robbery was committed in "take over" fashion as the bandit ordered everyone in the bank to the floor as he brandished what was described as an AK-47 assault rifle.

As the bandit made his getaway from the financial institution, he was followed by witnesses where he was observed shedding his green shirt as he entered a black compact sedan (possibly a Subaru) which also bore a "ying-yang" window sticker on the back window. Witnesses discontinue their surveillance of the bandit's getaway when he produced a handgun and pointed it at the witnesses prior to his entering the getaway vehicle. Due to the modus operandi and behavior of the bandit, the FBI considers this individual to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

In conjunction with this request, officials at the Land of Enchantment Federal Credit Union are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture, apprehension, and conviction of the party or parties responsible for the robbery of that institution on 6/25/2007. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours).
