Thomas C. McClenaghan, Special Agent in Charge of the Albuquerque Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that Jonathan Lee Hannon , age 33, of  Santa Ana, California, was arrested on a federal warrant charging him with three violations of Title 18, United States Code Section 2113 (a) Bank Robbery.

       A criminal complaint and subsequent arrest warrant were obtained charging Hannon with the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 6200 Coors Boulevard, NW, on December 14, 2006, as well as the robbery of the Bank of America, located at 303 Roma Avenue, NW on January 17, 2007.  Hannon was also charged in the complaint with the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 8301 Golf Course Road, NW, on February 9, 2007.  Shortly after the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank on February 9, 2007, Hannon, as he attempted his getaway, was subdued and detained by bank customers and other citizens in the area.  Upon arrival at the scene, Hannon was taken into custody by Special Agents of the FBI.  Hannon is also a suspect in five additional robberies in the Santa Ana, California area.

       On February 12, 2007, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Hannon was taken forthwith for his initial appearance before United States Magistrate Robert H. Scott, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Following his initial appearance, Hannon was remanded into the custody of the United States Marshals Service.
